1350 Rounds of 9mm Ammo by Wolf – 115gr FMJ **STEEL CASES**

We have to make one thing crystal clear about this 9mm ammunition: It does not have brass cases! But it certainly does look brass-cased, because Wolf has taken the added step of copper washing their steel cases’ exteriors. This helps the ammo feed and extract a little more fluidly, and it further protects against corrosion. But if you plan on reloading this steel-cased ammo, you’re going to wind up sorely disappointed!

Wolf’s 115 grain FMJ bullets are just like this ammo’s cases, for that matter, because they have bimetal jackets. The bullet’s copper-washed exterior conceals its primarily steel jacket. That steel is too soft to cause significantly faster wear to the barrel, and it keeps the bullet from deforming during ignition or penetration of soft tissue. Most importantly, it makes the bullet magnetic.

But so much steel does make Wolf’s ammo super friendly to the old checking account, which is why it has so many fans. Even this ammo’s Berdan primers are a little more economical than the Boxer alternative, though they are just as non-corrosive!
